The setting in superb and believable, the chemistry between Anthony and Mia is set off by the circumstances they find themselves in and these two really heat up the pages with their hot scenes. There is some light bondage which enhances and helps to further develop the plot in which the dissolute hero is redeemed by his involvement with the heroine. The story wraps up rather abruptly but neatly, an unfortunate flaw due to the short format of the story. I’m a glutton when it comes to historicals, especially good erotic historicals, and I would have liked to see Woman In Chains as a lengthier piece.
